LIMERICK LAWN HOSTS SUCCESSFUL U/9 TOURNAMENT
On Sunday February 20th, the Club was a hive of activity amidst welcome sunshine as stars of the future came from all across Munster and from Limerick Lawn to participate in the first Munster Open Under 9 competition.
For many, this was a first full scale competition and the team format for boys and girls made for a very appealing Orange Ball Midi Court event. Great thanks are due to LLTC Coaches Bryan Stewart and Sinead Dunne for coordinating a very successful tennis competition and to Pam Scott and Amy Pratt from the Junior Tennis Committee for organising a very well run day.
The winning boys' team was: Shane Brady, Harry O'Donnell, Luke Obersby, Robert Moloney and Kian O'Kelly
The winning girls' team was: Caoimhe Duffy-Niblock, Sarah Murphy and Shauna Kearney.
The prizes were generously sponsored by Dave Fahy Sports & Leisure, suppliers of tennis balls and equipment to many tennis clubs. |
