Senior Squash Box League

posted 29 Oct 2013, 16:15 by Limerick Lawn Tennis Club 1877   [ updated 30 Mar 2014, 17:30 ]
This season, in lieu of many of the tournaments throughout the year, we are proposing a box league system for squash at LLTC.

This is one of the most common formats among squash clubs the world over to ensure regular (1 per week on average) competitive games between players of the same standard.

The format we are proposing is a number of 4-person boxes where each player organizes to play the other 3 players over the course of a month, recording their results on a results sheet posted on the notice board as they go.

At the end of each month the results will be tallied and players will be promoted, demoted or remain in their current box based on their finishing position in that box.

All players, whether absolute beginner or advanced, are invited to take part in the league which we hope to start from next month.

How to enter

All interested players should print their name and phone number on the sign-up sheet or by e-mail (

The closing date for entries is Thursday Oct 31st.
