Senior South of Ireland Open Tennis Championship

Every year Summer time, the historic Senior South of Ireland Open Tennis Championship is held in Limerick Lawn gathering national and international players in an outstanding tournament.

The South of Ireland is as old as Wimbledon and the Irish Open and down the years there has been some memorable games played in the men and ladies open singles and players from many parts of the world have competed. This is the presence of some outstanding visitors over the years that has made the South of Ireland the premier competition outside of Dublin.

In addition to being a great week of on-court activity the South of Ireland is also a great social occasion and is also in it's own way a tourist attraction in that it brings visiting players in the city. Down the years players from South Africa, England, Scotland, Wales and the United States have taken part and all have enjoyed the wonderful hospitality that the tournament is renowned for offering.
